The Autumn season is my favorite time of year; I say this now, but in March, I will probably say that I love Spring the best! What is so interesting in the projects above is that each one reflects the change of season that we are about to celebrate, and both projects are in Heichi, our season-spanning 100% silk tweed.

Kiersten Johnstone of Assemblage is from the Southern Hemisphere; namely, Australia, and has created these amazing gloves based on traditional Japanese Samurai armour circa the 16th Century. What a wonderful Spring, for her, or Autumn, for me, accessory! Spend some time on her website; she is one of my favorite designers. I love the structural nature of her garments, and the amount of thought that goes into her designs.
The Whatever you Choose Skirt is aptly named; the talented crew at Yarns in the Farms came up with this ingenious design. You choose the lace patterns in each tier of the skirt and create a custom piece that you will not see on any other body! I think the drape and heft of the Heichi shows off this little garment to its fullest; I would also love a wintery version in either Tar or Steel; but for now, I love the Solar.

Finally, here's a Heichi secret....we have come up with 5 new colorways for our 2012 Spring launch; by the next equinox, we'll have even more choices in this great worsted weight silk!
